Made in 3D USA - 2025 Winners Announced

La Fondation Dassault Systèmes is pleased to announce the winners of the 3rd edition of the Made in 3D program in the United States.

Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators

Launched in 2017 in France in partnership with la Fondation La main à la pâte, Made in 3D is an educational program designed to introduce students to innovation, entrepreneurship, and the maker culture. Since its launch, the program has gone global, reaching young creators in India and the United States, and helping them bring their ideas to life through hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.

The 2025 edition of Made in 3D in the U.S. was the most ambitious to date. More than 120 middle and high school students from 6 schools across the country came together to take on real-world challenges by inventing, designing, building, and pitching their own creative solutions using professional 3D design tools. This year’s projects explored a wide range of exciting themes, including biomimicry, sports technology, assistive devices for the elderly, smart everyday gadgets, and the sky and beyond.

New this year, La Fondation Dassault Systèmes partnered with the Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) to launch an advanced track for single inventors: the Made in 3D – NextGen Excellence program, in which 29 students took part.

2025 Winners

A panel of judges shortlisted the 10 finalist projects from California, Massachusetts, Michigan and Ohio who pitched their ingenuous ideas live during the finale held on May 14-19: 7 teams competing as part of the Made in 3D main track and 3 CIC students contending as inventors in the Made in 3D – NextGen Excellence program.

We are thrilled to celebrate the creativity, teamwork, and technical excellence of this year’s participants. Congratulations to every student for bringing imagination and problem solving to the table. From brainstorming ideas and working in collaboration through design challenges to pitching under pressure, these young inventors demonstrated smart entrepreneurial thinking.
