Fostering innovation and entrepreneurship amongst young students

The fifth edition of the Indo French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI) CSR Conclave & Awards took place in New Delhi on November 24 to recognize the most impactful CSR projects from top French companies and organizations in India, based on criteria such as innovative CSR initiative, social purpose, impact and measurement, and employee volunteering.

The “Made in 3D – Seed the Future Entrepreneurs” program led by La Fondation Dassault Systèmes in India was awarded Best CSR project in the Education category. It is the second year in a row that this program receives a prestigious CSR award in India. A testament to the significant contribution La Fondation Dassault Systèmes makes to transforming the way we learn, empowering school students aged 12 to 16 to be future innovators and future entrepreneurs.

La Fondation India received this award just as we are celebrating its 6th anniversary. This achievement could not have been possible without the great contribution of the team of more than 150 passionate volunteers involved in this program.

International Recognition at G20 events

Carried out in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission of NITI Aayog and the Government of India, the 2022-2023 edition of ”Made in 3D – Seed the Future Entrepreneurs” gathered 100 schools from 29 states and union territories of India, with each of these schools forming a pseudo startup comprising of 6 students and 2 teachers.

This season was a particularly meaningful one with the following highlights:

  • The program’s grand finale was declared a G20 event under the Startup20 track. This is an important recognition at the national and international level.
  • The top 3 school startups were invited to the Startup20 Shikhar Summit to showcase their innovations in front of G20 countries. These were the only school startups invited to the summit.
  • 30 participating schools presented their innovation to various dignitaries, including the Prime Minister of India and the Mission Director of Atal Innovation Mission, at multiple G20 conferences and forums.

“Made in 3D” was originally created by La Fondation Dassault Systèmes and la Fondation La main à la pâte in France. The program now runs in France, India, and the US where it was launched in 2023.
